Rudolf Steiner

and Waldorf education
QUID+ has been inspired by Rudolf Steiner to help young children approach learning to write through storytelling, using history, art and... imagination!

Rudolf Steiner was an Austrian philosopher and architect, the founder of anthroposophy. His studies covered various fields, from philosophy to anthropology, from economics to sociology and agriculture. In 1919 he founded “Waldorf education”, a teaching method born in the wave of the pedagogical revolution started by Maria Montessori. The child-centred approach, the focus on fostering the harmonious development of all the child's abilities and the absence of grades as an assessment tool are the main points of contact between Steiner’s and Montessori’s pedagogy. Today, schools that follow this method are widespread all over the world, including in Italy, and offer an educational path that accompanies the growth of children from nursery to adulthood (up to 18 years).
