Bruno Munari
and creativity
From Bruno Munari, QUID+ has learned many fun ways to enhance creativity in young children, encouraging them to use their senses to explore and to look at the world through the eyes of imagination.
Bruno Munari was an Italian writer and artist. He is considered one of the greatest protagonists of the art scene ranging from the visual arts (cinema, sculpture, painting, etc.) to the non-visual arts (writing, poetry, etc.). Among his many areas of research, he explored the development of creativity and imagination in children through play and fun. He created books and games for young children and, in the late 1970s, he created the first tactile workshop at the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan and began to promote an educational approach in nursery schools that helps children exercise all their senses to explore the world around them.
